RISK ASSESSMENT CERTIFICATE IN PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICEreturn to top |
The overall aim is for delegates to acquire knowledge and practical skills to improve their competency in carrying out general risk assessments under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. It is particularly useful for managers and supervisors but it will be equally beneficial to individual workers, team leaders, technicians, engineers or any other personnel contributing to the risk assessment process. MANUAL HANDLING INSTRUCTORreturn to top |
| This three day course is designed to provide nominated trainers with an understanding of the process of instructing others in sound manual handling techniques. The course will equip delegates to prepare and deliver a manual handling awareness training package. The first day will provide the delegates with the tools needed to prepare and deliver a manual handling techniques training session. On the second day delegates are taught safe manual handling techniques and on the last day they are asked to prepare for the delivery of a short session or presentation on manual handling techniques. Delegates need to have the ability or potential to instruct others in a practical subject. No prior knowledge of manual handling is necessary. Delegates should be generally fit with no previous back problems. |
| Note: This course is designed to equip delegates with the knowledge and confidence to be able to instruct in manual handling techniques. The subsequent development of course material and aids to be used in-company is down to each individual delegate to produce to suit their particular needs. |
